South Downs Thatched Cottage

The South Downs Thatched Cottage has been lovingly restored, it is a self contained annexe situated beside the main house. It can be rented independently or booked alongside the main house to provide additional accommodation for larger groups. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished, the cottage offers a calm and comfortable retreat with lovely views across the garden and surrounding South Downs.

Upstairs, the main bedroom features a super king size bed, air conditioning, television, and a cosy reading nook. A beautiful roll top bath sits on the landing just outside the bedroom, creating a peaceful place to unwind after a walk in the countryside. French doors open onto an oak-framed balcony where two chairs provide the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee while looking out across the garden and rolling Downs.

Downstairs, the cottage offers an open plan kitchen and living space designed for relaxed countryside living. The kitchen is fully equipped with Miele appliances, including an oven, induction hob, microwave, kettle, and toaster, along with a washing machine and dryer. A breakfast bar provides a casual place to dine, while the comfortable L shaped sofa creates a welcoming sitting area. The sofa converts into a king size sofa bed, or alternatively two single beds can be arranged to accommodate additional guests. The downstairs bathroom features marble tiles with brushed brass fittings, a spacious double shower, sink, and WC. Towels are provided for guests during their stay.

With underfloor heating throughout and air conditioning in the main bedroom, the cottage offers comfort in every season and makes a beautiful standalone retreat or an ideal addition to the main house for larger gatherings.
